Daru loved swimming in Lake Erie, but she came home really smelly. She was washed, rinsed and repeated, but she still has a certain dead fish/rotting algae odor. The lake did not really smell, but we did see numerous dead fish and she rolled all over in the sand.

Poor Daru! When the dog my famiy had when I was a little, Hombre, would get sprayed by a skunk he knew that he smelled bad. His solution was to go swimming and get even his head wet (normally he would avoid getting his head wet). So if we saw him with a wet head, we knew to stay away.
